William Miller

William is a graduate from the University of Auckland with a five year conjoint Bachelor of Commerce and Law degree.  He is admitted as a solicitor and barrister of the High Court of New Zealand (and also holds a current practising certificate there).

In late 2004 he obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in China Business Law (DCBL) with distinction from the then Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management which was the executive education and management consultancy arm of the Faculty of Business & Economics at Hong Kong University.  He later obtained his Masters of Law (Corporate and Financial Law stream) from the University of Hong Kong in 2008, and was admitted to the High Court of Hong Kong as a solicitor in 2010.

William's practice covers a broad range of company and commercial work which includes project and contract management, construction claims management, distribution and agency agreements, trading and marketing agreements, tenders, joint venture agreements and shareholder agreements, product licensing agreements (mostly medical devices) and IT contracts (software development).

With a keen interest in technology, regulatory and compliance matters, he also advises on company formation (and dissolution), corporate governance, directors duties, private equity (including collaborations and strategic alliances), contentious commercial disputes and litigation, trusts, outbound investment (via Hong Kong) by high net worth individuals and private companies from mainland China, IP enforcement, immigration and employment law.

He a proficient Mandarin speaker and is a member of The Entrepreneur Network.
